What Is A Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) Monitoring Service?

It is a service that helps customers maintain an independent lifestyle by provided a guaranteed line of communication in the event of an emergency, usually by use of alert pendant worn by the customer.

What Happens When I press The Call Button On The PERS Device?

An alarm signal is sent to our monitoring center from your PERS device over the cellular network. There are no charges to press your pendant so don’t be afraid to do so! Our operators receive the unique signal and will open up the two-way voice communication with all your pertinent information such as name, address and emergency contacts right there at their fingertips.  From there, let the operator know what they can do to help.

Who Will Assist Me During An Emergency?

When you sign up for our service, you will be asked to provide names and phone numbers for emergency contacts such as friends, relatives and neighbors. In the event of an emergency, our highly trained operators will ask you who to contact. We will dispatch emergency services upon request or if the operator cannot communicate with you, the user.

What If I Don't Know Where I Am?

The precise cellular technology will locate you. We will then communicate the location to your responders so they can get you help. If your responders aren’t nearby, we will contact the local 911 near your location. Then, we will stay on the line with you until we are sure your help has arrived.

How Does Fall Detection Work On My PERS Device?

For Fall Detection to work effectively, it is recommended that users wear the device outside of their clothing. Using a patented algorithm that measures speed, direction and the impact of each movement a customer makes, the mobile PERS device can automatically go into alarm and contact an emergency operator.  As with any fall detection device customers should always press their call button during an emergency if they possess the ability to do so.

Can I Take This In The Shower?

Yes! All PERS devices we offer are completely safe for the shower. Please do not submerge any PERS device in standing water.

Do I Have To Set Up The PERS Device?

No.  We will do all the set up and service activation before you receive your PERS device.  All you need to do is charge, test and wear the PERS device.

Do I Need A Landline For Service To Work?

No.  The PERS device connects to cellular towers to call out so a landline is not needed.  The device is battery powered so it does not need to be connected to an outlet to work.  However, it will need to be charged weekly or monthly depending on the PERS device.

Will The PERS Service Work Outside Of My Home?

Yes.  It will work anywhere there is cellular service.  It is not limited to just your home or community.  It will work nationwide (USA only).

What's The Shipping Time Frame?

Generally, we’ll ship your system the same day you place the order. If the order is placed on a weekend or holiday, we will ship the next business day. We ship USPS Priority Mail, which means your package will arrive in 2-3 shipping days (Mon – Sat).
